The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) initially offered this advice in April 2017. Then, he said, “any marriage that is concocted through the Facebook is going to crash through the Youtube. No doubt about that.”

Speaking to the congregation, the RCCG G.O thanked God for the release of the 105 students of the Federal Government Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe state.
He also prayed for remaining captive, abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists in February 2018.
“We thank God for the release of the girls and pray that all the girls yet to secure their freedom should be freed,’’ Adeboye prayed.

Referring to Ezekiel 16: 44, and John 8: 44, he talked about the sins and blessings of the father affecting the children.
In his words, “If the parents are of the Lord the Lord will continue to bless them and their children will not beg for food.”

the course of the service, Pastor Adeboye also offered special prayers
for people with illnesses, problems, and barren women.
